As part of an overall capital improvement program, L+M is replacing Masaryk Towers’ Con Edison high pressure team service with gas-fired boiler plant that will reduce costs and improve heating distribution and ventilation in the units. The plant will be located in a new, below-ground space in the courtyard of the complex. The program also includes installation of new thermostatic radiator valves and traps in all of the apartments. The Mitchell Lama apartment complex, which opened in 1965, consists of four 21-story buildings offering 1,100 units.
